Jane Higgins Marx

The ADAMH Board’s appointee to the Board is attorney Jane Higgins Marx, a partner with Carlile Patchen & Murphy LLP, a Columbus law firm. Ms. Marx practices in the areas of estate and business planning, probate, probate litigation, business succession planning, and elder law. She is a Fellow of The American College of Trust & Estate Counsel. A graduate of Denison University and The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, she is a board member of the Legal Aid Society of Columbus. Ms. Marx is a member of the Columbus Bar Association (Estate Planning and Trust Committee and past chair of the Probate Court Committee), The Ohio State Bar Association (member of the Board of Governors of the Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law Section, member Elder Law Section Committee), the Columbus Foundation Professional Advisors, The Columbus Estate Planning Council, the Society of Financial Service Professionals Columbus Chapter, and The Catholic Foundation Professional Advisors Group. She is a resident of Upper Arlington.
Robert E. Ryan
Vice Chair
Bob Ryan was chosen as a board member by the Franklin County Board of Developmental Disabilities. Bob is President of Egan-Ryan Funeral Homes, a five generation family owned and operated funeral business. He is also a Certified Public Accountant. Bob is a graduate of St. Charles Preparatory High School and the University of Notre Dame. He is active in many church and civic activities and organizations, and just recently finished his term on the board of The Mt. Carmel Hospital Foundation. Bob, and his wife Mary Ginn, founded SPICE (Special People in Catholic Education), a ministry to raise awareness and funds to help serve students with special needs in Catholic schools. Bob and Mary Ginn are blessed with 11 children and 14 grandchildren. They have been longtime residents of the Eastmoor neighborhood. Their youngest daughter Megan, 28 years old, has Down Syndrome and is an Assistant Teacher at The OSU Nisonger Childhood Center. Bob is honored to be a member of the Guardianship Service Board.
